Built on Yuwibara Country, Plane Creek Provisional School opened the doors to students on August 5, 1897. 15 years later, in 1912, this school became known as Sarina State School. Today, Sarina State School consists of more than 24 classrooms, 2 computer labs, state-of-the-art Sports Hall and conference room, 3 covered play areas, a dedicated music room, playground, oval, and outdoor courts.
We are proud of our facilities, but these would mean nothing if it wasn't for the outstanding staff who continually contribute to positive outcomes for students. Quality pedagogical practice is the cornerstone of our school as we all believe, “Every student deserves a great teacher, not by chance, but by design" (Fisher, Frey, Hattie).
