Parents and Carers, a reminder that our school is a Sun Safe School and as such our policy is No Hat No Play!
Australia has the highest rates of melanoma in the world, and more than 4180 people are estimated to be diagnosed with melanoma in Queensland every year. Therefore it is imperative that your child wears a broad brimmed hat at school when outside in the sun. Students who do not have a hat for outside activities, will be sat out of the activity in a shaded area or classroom.
With summer upon us it is important to keep hydrated, students should bring a water bottle to school that can be filled throughout the day.
Warm regards, Emelie, Principal, Sarina State School.
